Ivanhoe (NSW)
Ivanhoe is a remote outback town on the Cobb Highway, surrounded by vast open plains,
red dirt landscapes and a rich pastoral history. Small, friendly and full of authentic
outback charm, Ivanhoe offers travellers a peaceful stopover with a strong sense of
heritage and resilience.
Home to historic buildings such as the old Ivanhoe Gaol, the town reflects an era of
drovers, sheep stations and the early days of NSW’s far west. ShowcasingOz TV will be
visiting Ivanhoe as part of our 2026 journey, capturing its stories, scenery and
remote-country character.
