Barkly Roadhouse (NT)

Barkly Roadhouse — also known as Barkly Homestead — is a legendary rest stop and essential outback hub located along the remote Barkly Highway between Tennant Creek and the Queensland border. As one of the most iconic roadhouses in Australia, it offers travellers fuel, meals, accommodation, and a warm outback welcome in the middle of one of the country’s most isolated regions.

With vast plains stretching endlessly in every direction, the Barkly region captures the true essence of Australia’s interior. ShowcasingOz TV will be stopping here to highlight its unique character, stories from the road, and the important role this roadhouse plays for travellers crossing the NT outback.
