Roxby Downs (SA)

Roxby Downs is a modern outback township in northern South Australia, built to support the nearby Olympic Dam mine. Despite its remote location, the town has grown into a vibrant and family-friendly community offering impressive amenities, unique desert landscapes and warm country hospitality.

Roxby sits close to the **Arid Recovery Reserve**, a pioneering conservation project protecting threatened desert wildlife across vast red-sand dunes and saltbush country. The region also provides access to striking outback scenery, incredible sunsets and endless desert horizons.
