Imagine having a career opportunity that doesn't keep you behind the same desk, in the same studio, or shooting the same kinds of projects week after week.
Instead, your workplace changes constantly.
One week you could be capturing spectacular Australian coastline. The next, you could be filming an historic site, wildlife park, museum, art gallery, winery, adventure attraction, iconic landmark or one of the country's lesser-known hidden gems.
You'll travel through cities, country towns, regional communities and remote destinations, experiencing the places, people and stories that make Australia extraordinary while capturing it all on film.
And in this particular role, you won't always be behind the camera.
Sometimes you'll become part of the story yourself.
As ShowcasingOz TV's Videographer / Editor / Co-Presenter, you'll combine professional videography and editing with occasional on-camera presenting, giving you the opportunity to develop experience on both sides of the lens as the production travels around Australia.
And you're not paying to travel around Australia doing it.
You're being paid.
You'll receive a $1,500 gross weekly contract rate, with your accommodation covered throughout contracted production travel, a daily meal allowance, and admission to the attractions and experiences you're required to film or participate in covered as part of the production.
You'll meet locals and hear the stories behind their towns and regions. You'll work with tourism operators, accommodation providers and small business owners. You'll visit places many Australians have never experienced themselves, while building an extraordinarily diverse body of professional work and developing valuable on-camera experience along the way.
For most people, travelling extensively around Australia means saving for years and then watching those savings disappear on accommodation, meals, attractions and experiences.
This opportunity turns much of that equation around.
You'll be earning an income while travelling, with several of the biggest costs of life on the road covered as part of the production.
If you've ever wanted to combine filmmaking, travel, adventure and the opportunity to develop your on-camera skills, this is an opportunity that simply doesn't come around very often.
ShowcasingOz TV isn't simply driving from one major city to another.
Our production is designed around getting out and actually experiencing the destinations we visit. That means exploring the attractions, landmarks, businesses, landscapes and hidden gems that give each town and region its identity.
Across the production, you could find yourself filming or experiencing:
Some days will be about capturing breathtaking scenery from behind the camera. On others, you may find yourself joining an experience, speaking with a local, introducing a destination or contributing to a segment in front of the camera.
The variety is one of the biggest attractions of the role. Your subject, location, working environment and even your position on either side of the camera will continually change as the production moves around Australia.
The major difference between this position and our Videographer / Video Editor role is the opportunity to contribute to ShowcasingOz TV's on-camera storytelling.
You won't be expected to become the primary presenter, nor will every day involve presenting. Videography remains a major part of the position.
However, when a story, destination or experience benefits from another on-camera personality, you'll have opportunities to step in front of the lens and contribute naturally to the production.
That could mean participating in an experience, helping introduce a location, interacting with an operator, contributing to a segment or supporting the primary presenter in telling a destination's story.
For someone interested in expanding beyond traditional videography, this provides the rare chance to develop genuine production and presenting experience within the same national project.
Think about what your body of work could look like after two seasons travelling with ShowcasingOz TV.
Instead of a portfolio dominated by similar local projects, you'll have the opportunity to develop work spanning tourism, landscapes, accommodation, interviews, businesses, wildlife, attractions, food and wine, adventure, lifestyle, regional storytelling and destination content.
You'll also have something many videographers don't: the opportunity to demonstrate that you're comfortable communicating and storytelling on camera as well as creating the images behind it.
You'll work in constantly changing environments, from controlled indoor locations to unpredictable outdoor conditions, busy attractions, remote landscapes and live interactions with people you've only just met.
That combination provides an opportunity to demonstrate versatility, adaptability, personality and real-world production experience across an unusually broad range of subjects and locations.
You'll be a key member of a small travelling production crew rather than one person buried inside a large production department.
Your responsibilities will combine location videography, editing, media management and broader production support with occasional co-presenting duties where appropriate.
At times, filming coverage may be split across different businesses or locations. You may therefore occasionally be required to film independently while the other videographer captures content elsewhere.
That means we're not simply looking for somebody who knows how to operate a camera or somebody who simply likes being on camera.
We need someone who can do both professionally: a capable visual storyteller behind the lens, with the personality and confidence to step in front of it when the production calls for it.
Technical ability matters enormously, but for this position, personality matters too.
We're looking for somebody creative, positive, reliable, adventurous and personable who genuinely enjoys travel, visual storytelling, meeting people and discovering new places.
You don't need to arrive as an experienced television presenter. What matters is that you're comfortable communicating, willing to learn and capable of appearing natural and engaging in front of the camera when required.
This production also involves travelling and working closely with the same small crew for extended periods, so professionalism, adaptability and the ability to get along well with others are essential.
We're particularly interested in people who see travelling Australia as one of the great attractions of this opportunity rather than simply something that has to be tolerated to do the job.

ShowcasingOz TV will supply the principal filming equipment required to perform the role. You are also welcome to discuss bringing suitable equipment of your own where it may complement the production setup.
This is an unusual career opportunity, but it also requires somebody suited to the realities of an extended national production.
In return, the road itself becomes part of the experience. Instead of commuting to the same workplace each morning, you'll wake up in towns and cities across Australia knowing that the day's assignment could take you somewhere completely different.
This position is offered on a contract basis for Seasons 1 and 2 of ShowcasingOz TV's 2027 national production, commencing 24 January 2027.
The contract rate is $1,500 gross per week. Accommodation during contracted production travel is covered by ShowcasingOz TV, a daily meal allowance is provided, and production-related admission costs required to undertake filming and presenting duties are covered.
Contractors are required to hold a valid ABN and TFN and will be responsible for managing taxation and other obligations applicable to their individual contracting arrangements.
Subject to performance, production requirements and the continued growth of ShowcasingOz TV, there may also be opportunities to participate in future seasons and productions beyond 2027.
You could spend another year shooting the same types of projects in the same part of Australia.
Or you could look back on a year in which your career took you across the country.
A year in which you explored towns you'd never previously heard of, stood behind the camera at remarkable Australian landmarks, experienced attractions and hidden gems, met people from communities across the country and captured their stories.
And perhaps, for the first time in your career, you also stepped out from behind the camera and discovered that you enjoyed telling some of those stories in front of it.
A year in which you expanded your professional portfolio and on-camera experience while earning an income and having accommodation, a daily meal allowance and production-related experiences covered along the way.
This isn't an everyday creative opportunity.
We're looking for somebody with the technical ability to capture the journey, but also the personality and confidence to occasionally become part of it.
